The Ghats
Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana, India
Set against the serene architecture of ITC Grand Bharat, Manesar, the existing ghats traditional Indian cabana structures were transformed into an elegant setting for a soulful morning of prayer and live classical music, commemorating the guests’ 50th anniversary. Working with the property’s beautifully tiered stone pavilions, the design focused on enhancing the spiritual and cultural essence of the moment without overwhelming the heritage aesthetic.
Soft white drapery framed each cabana, creating a sense of purity, calm, and ceremonial reverence. Minimal floral accents, natural greenery, and subtle decorative elements highlighted the structures’ intricate carvings while maintaining an atmosphere of understated sophistication. The stage area was styled to feel intimate and grounded, allowing the musicians and vocalists to become the emotional center of the experience.
Seating was arranged to face the water-lined ghats, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the music and morning rituals while surrounded by lush landscaping and sunlit stone architecture. Warm sunlight, open-air spaces, and the gentle echo of live Indian instruments created a serene environment that felt both deeply cultural and beautifully personal.
This thoughtful transformation respected the property’s architectural heritage while shaping a tranquil, devotional ambiance perfect for honoring a milestone as meaningful as a 50th anniversary.
